Hi! I'm starting to emerge from the newborn trenches and I'm happy to be writing again. Truth be told, I'm writing this on my phone because my computer is done. I'm hoping to be getting a new computer next month! The last six weeks, almost seven now have been amazing, exhausting, emotional, and a whirlwind to say the least. I can't say I enjoy the postpartum period that much, but I feel like I've made it to the other side. I'm obviously still figuring out being a mom of three and I'll let you know when I've got that down. Out of all three, this has been my easiest recovery and I know that's because I (and with Troster's help) really took care of myself during my pregnancy and after. Maybe I'll write a separate post about that another day.
Lucy is a dream baby. I don't know if it's because she's the third or it's just her personality, but she is an angel. She's starting to smile back at us and is getting more active each day. I just can't wait to see what month two will be like for her.
I'm starting to meal plan again and cook more. I don't have time for anything elaborate, not that I did before, but I really don't now. Soups, sheet pan dinners and anything in the dutch oven are my best friend. This week, I'm basically making all soups and at the end of the week I'll make my dad's famous pot roast recipe.
Both of the soup recipes come from The Modern Proper. I've never made their Creamy Chicken Soup, mainly because they just put it up on their blog. It sounds so good though. I've made their Tortellini Soup probably I don't know fifty times now. It's perfect for a cold night and when you don't feel like cooking. I'm most looking forward to who I'll be sharing these meals with though, my mom and my sister are coming into town! My heart is so happy.
This week on IG, I'll be sharing some new skincare products I've been loving from Aillea Beauty, more details about my fall planters with Pike, and various fall clothes that I recently got in the mail.
