I've gotten a lot of questions over the past few weeks on where I go to pick fresh fruit here in Georgia, so I thought I would make a list of our go-to places. I always make it a half-day trip for the family, which means I pack a picnic lunch to eat after we are done picking. Another tip, is to leave early, especially with the Georgia heat. Also, you have a better chance of it not being crowded. Here are my top places to go this summer:
Southern Belle Farm- U-Pick Strawberries, Peaches, Blueberries, Blackberries and Flowers. Yummy strawberry ice cream + slushies with a market to shop for fresh produce.
Whitley Farms- U-pick Strawberries and Blueberries
DJ's U-Pick Blueberry Farm - U-Pick Blueberries
Mercier Orchards- U-Pick Apples, Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Peaches, Tractor Tours. Farm Store with fresh produce and a restaurant.
Sugar Hill Berry Farm- U-Pick Peaches
Jaemor Farms- U-Pick Peach day in July, U-Pick Flowers, wonderful market to shop for fresh produce
King of Crops Farm- From the King of Pops, aka the best popsicles in the world, U-Pick berries, tour the farm, and cool off with a pop. You can make a reservation to reserve your spot.
The Anderson's Sunflower Farm- Cut your own Sunflowers, perfect place for pictures
