Our Spring Home Tour

I'm so ready for spring. By the time March rolls in, I'm ready for a change. Other than the constant rain we've had in Atlanta since last month, it's starting to look a little like springtime here. The daffodils are popping up, the forsythia is blooming and the southern magnolias are just gorgeous. I always start with the inside of my house first and then work my way outside. I'll save the outside for another post and when we are not having a down pour. I don't really purchase many new things for the seasons. A few little things here and there. I like to keep it simple and natural. I add fresh flowers from the yard, switch out books, and put out light weight blankets for the heavy ones. I did purchase a few new pillows this year, pink ones! Most of our house is white, gray and blues tones, but I decided to add in another element. I was getting a little bored with my usual color palette.

We get such a variety of birds in our yard since it is mostly wooded. I love having this on hand in our entertainment console for the kids/us.

I just love this jasmine plant that I picked up at Trader Joe's. It smells amazing! I can't wait to plant it outside when it gets warm enough. Floret Farm's Cut Flower Garden book is one of my favorites for flower growing inspiration. It is packed full of information on how to grow a variety of different flowers from seed.

I've had this felt bunny table runner for years. I think even before we had kids. I just love it. I cut the forsythia from our yard and it definitely brings the sunshine.

I love these bunny plates and napkins that I picked up from Home Goods. It makes breakfast and lunch a little more special for the kids.

I bought this pie dish from Target last spring to use a place for our soap & dish soap. Adding in the candle and flowers makes doing dishes therapeutic for me.
